This is a masterpiece creation supported by top-notch staff. The screenplay was written by Tanigawa Shuntaro, one of Japan's most popular poets; the animation production was directed by Ichikawa Kon, Japan's master of motion in film; the theme music was written by major French composer Michel Legrand, and costumes were designed by Koshino Junko. The animated Phoenix and other characters were intertwined into the camera-shot scenes, and Tezuka Osamu was the executive director of animation.
